ubuntu is the another most popular linux distribution that have the os for the servers to smart phones so  this is highly recommended  os in the Linux. But we have to test drive before switching to the ubuntu platform.

how to perform test drive:

1.      To perform the test drive we have to have  a external drive like(pen drive, external hard drive) to perform the  test drive

2.      Download the ubuntu from the www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop and we have the two versions of the ubuntu to download (12.04,13.10) but it is better to download the 12.04 because the linux developers are giving the support for the 12.04 until the 2017 year so no need for the worry about the stability of this version

3.      Select the bit version(32,64) to download the ubuntu according to your hardware

32 bit is advisable

4.download the iso file and if you want to use this distributions within thecd or the dvd use the freeisoburner to burn the file to cd.(www.freeisoburner.com) and if you want to install from the usb install the lili usb creator to burn in the usb drive.

5. now restart the machine and go to the boot menu by pressing the del or the f2 key(or other)

6. change the booting order to our drive that contain the ubuntu os now save the changes and continues to the booting ubuntu

7.in the ubuntu booting menu click the try now to try the ubuntu for testdrive the linux with out installing it

8. if you not like the ubuntu os stick with windows or test other distributions

How to install Ubuntu:

1.      In the install now option appeared while booting the process the installation have the two procedure

2.      There are  two ways that Ubuntu provide to install it they are (dual boot, single os)

3.      Select the dual boot to use the Ubuntu and the windows vice versa so no need to worry of the loosing windows

4.      But in the single os installation the ubuntu os removes the windows but you can access the windows by the virtual machines(virtual box). But all of the windows apps are not working in the windows so you have to worry if you have some unique software like paying software

5.      You can also access the windows software in the Ubuntu with the wine software in the ubuntu

The Microsoft corporation stopped the all the services for the windows xp with in the april 8 so we are wanted to move to the linux distributions or upgrade to secure our systems  from harm.
